Midnight Walk 2010
The 2010 Midnight Walk took place on one of the hottest nights of the year. Women in their hundreds came along to be part of the Grove House Midnight Walk. The event was started by the actor Joe McGann after an inspirational speech by Sarah, an ex patient. The walkers completed the 10 mile walk around St Albans in record time with the last walker returning by 3am. Walkers were once again encouraged along the route by the St Albans firemen assisted by the cadets. This year there was also a stop at The King William IV pub where drinks were on offer. Walkers received a goody bag and a flower at the end of the event.
On the night Midnight Walkers pledged to raise just over £60,000 for the hospice. This is an amazing amount and we are confident that Midnight Walkers will continue to collect sponsorship monies and we hope to reach our target of raising £80,000.
Thank You to everyone who took part, volunteered or sponsored friends.

Midnight Walk 2009
The 2009 Midnight Walk raised in excess of £80,000 for Grove House Hospice a truly amazing amount. For the first time ever the event was also open to men - the only restriction was that they came dressed as women. One man in particular rose to the challenge and completed the 10 mile sponsored walk in heels. St Albans firemen were magnificent on the night helping encourage the walkers with offers of food and drink as they passed the fire station on London Road.
